Twardzik, Argall Announce RACP Grant for Highridge Business Park

HARRISBURG – The Schuylkill Economic Development Corporation in Schuylkill County today was awarded $750,000 in Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) funding for the SEDCO Pad Ready Site at Highridge Business Park, announced Rep. Tim Twardzik (R-Schuylkill) and Senator David G. Argall (R-Berks/Schuylkill).

Twardzik Bill to Register Vacant Blighted Properties Earns Committee Approval

HARRISBURG – Rep. Tim Twardzik’s (R-Schuylkill) bill to fight blight was approved by the House Urbans Affairs Committee. House Bill 1791 would create the Vacant Property Registration Act. The measure would allow communities to create and maintain a vacant property registration program, which is a blight fighting, smart growth tool used to stabilize and re-develop neighborhoods.
