Twardzik, Barton, Argall Announce $400,000 for Plum Creek Water Main Replacement
September 15, 2026
HARRISBURG – Rep. Tim Twardzik (R-Schuylkill), Rep. Jamie Barton (R-Berks/Schuylkill) and Sen. Dave Argall (R-29) today announced $400,000 in Local Share Account (LSA) funding for the Plum Creek Municipal Authority to replace a section of water main from Running Deer Drive to Stag Drive.
The project will address aging water infrastructure in Schuylkill County and help improve the reliability of the system for residents served by the authority.
“Strong communities depend on the basic services people often take for granted until something goes wrong,” Twardzik said. “Making sure our local infrastructure keeps pace with the needs of the people who live here is part of building a community where families can stay, businesses can grow and residents can count on the services they need.”
“Access to clean, reliable water is essential for the health, safety, and well being of everyone who lives and works here,” Barton said. “This investment does more than just improving our infrastructure. It’s helping to ensure residents continue to have safe water they can depend on.”
“Improved water infrastructure is very much needed in so many of our communities,” Argall said. “These highly competitive state funds are very important.”
The Local Share Account program is funded by gaming revenues under Pennsylvania’s Race Horse Development and Gaming Act and administered by the Commonwealth Financing Authority. It supports projects that improve the quality of life for residents, including public safety, infrastructure and community development initiatives.
